Blotchy tomatoes : (

These were plants from a newly developed vege bed. Nothing really took off there, not enough sun perhaps, and still trying to improve the soil. We did eat them, they tasted ok and were small.

It make be a tomatoe mosaic virus . There are pictures on the Ag Dept website under Tobacco Mosaic Virus. If it is this then really it seems the only thing to do is to eat them. I have done and there fine, look a bit funny but still taste great, and maybe dont collect seeds from those affected plants.

If you saw green vegetable bugs on there earlier in the season it could be that they have been sucking on your tomatoes. It's pretty hard to tell without more of a description. They get hard lumps and don't ripen properly.
