World Environment Day

Hello Fern Community, For World Environment Day this year we have formed The WED (World Environment Day) Collective. We meet at City Farm again this Monday 30th April @ 4:45 for a 5pm start. If you would like to be involved in World Environment Day in Forrest Place this year please come along.

Agenda: 1. Inform new-comers of objectives, artistic process and preparatory events.

2. Promotional Material, what it will look like, how we will collect information and present it. -website -banners -programme/ flyers...

3. Space Preparation - What we need to do.

4. Roles - AV, Safety/ First Aid, Promotions, Performance programme, City of Perth Liaison please add any agenda items... And pop these in your calenders!

Preparatory events for World Environment Day include:

Saturday 5th May (2 - 4/5pm):

WED Palleting Walk - South East cnr Hyde Park to Forrest Place (Bring your Camera, sketch books, charcoal, crayons, bodies (your chosen documentation mediums..)

Saturday 19th May (11am - 5pm): Hands on-therapeutic-get to know you-creative-play day at the REmida Centre in Carine. (Build ice/hay/plastic sculptures in groups, movement workshop, watch presentation of the city palleting experiences, make worn art, write riddles and messages of hope, meet other eco-lovers) These fun experiences are in preparation for World Environment Day, unifying and relaxing our eco-community in WA. When we get to Forrest Place on Tuesday 5th June we will know more about each other and feel more informed about other organisations and individuals, their happening and projects. In the process we will have played like children....

World Environment Day Objectives: To build/solidify/ cross-pollinate/ unify the environmental community in Perth. To raise awareness about this community, the organisations, activities and happening in the wider community To present an inspiring message of hope for the environment to the public.
