Gardening Group... Getting dirty in the garden

We will be opening the gates on Sunday mornings for the markets as normal and for our next gardening group from 10am - 12 noon so that you can come and grow organic herbs & vegetables.

A Farmers’ Market bringing fresh food direct from the farm gate to the community will begin on Sunday 11 May at the FERN site on the corner of High Road & Montreal Street, Fremantle.  Operated by Western Farmer’s Markets, the market will take place each Sunday from 7.30am to 12.30pm.

The market will revive the age old tradition of direct trade between householders and farmers in a community setting.  This will be a social celebration of all things good – food, family, friends, and conversation.

The Community Water Grant team have been busy installing water conserving technologies on site--the most notable are the zincalume rainwater tank, and drip irrigation fitted by the busy bee team, to the rejuvenated vege beds.
